Eating Organic – Volume 3: Restaurants in Brussels

Organic Certified

There aren’t that many organic restaurants in Brussels… in fact, according to Bioguide, only 1 restaurant is certified as organic: La Saga in Etterbeek

Only these two restaurants guaranteed that all their food is organic.

Organic friendly locations

Of course you’ll also find a number of restaurants which, although they are not certified, offer organic food. Use the map below to find them, they are marked with the Yellow pins.

If all you’re looking for is a great breakfast, you should head out to La Ferme Nos Pilifs. This urban farm offers organic and fair trade breakfasts on Saturdays from 9am to 11am … for 5.10€ per person (!). Here’s the location.

Chains

You’ll also find some organic food at two famous restaurant chains across town:

  • Le Pain Quotidien bakery and café chain offers bread made from organic flour. It’s a great place to enjoy brunch or lunch. You won’t find the locations on tebiki’s map, but you’ll find them on their website.
  • Exki is closer to a fast food and some of their products are organic. They have 17 locations across town.

Both these chains were born in Brussels and have now expanded with locations across Europe!
